Pre-Conference Trainings
Arrive nourished. Learn before you land.
Two optional certification-track workshops take place two to four weeks prior to the conference:

NBPP Postpartum Doula Workshop
This workshop is a contact-hour–eligible, culturally grounded training that prepares doulas to deliver high-quality, family-centered care during the critical postpartum period. Over four immersive weekly sessions, participants develop advanced skills in newborn care, birther recovery, emotional support, lactation basics, wellness planning, and family systems navigation — all through a community-rooted framework. A workbook with client-centered resources will be provided.

Black Women
Do VBAC
8-Hour Surgical/VBAC Training is a contact-hour–approved advanced program that equips Doulas with evidence-based surgical, cesarean, and VBAC support skills. Each participant receives access to a comprehensive resource drive filled with tools, protocols, and client-ready materials to strengthen advocacy and improve outcomes for Black birthing families.
